Governor Akeredolu Donates Auxiliary Supplies to Assault on Ose Township –

The Ondo state government on Friday donated relief supplies to victims of armed attacks in the Molege community in the state’s Ose local government area.

Speaking at the event in Akure, the state capital, state governor Rotimi Akeredolu said the relief supplies were intended to cushion the impact of the attack on victims.

Akeredolu, represented by Deputy Governor’s Office Gbenga Akingbasote, said the state government would continue to identify with them.

He called on Ose City Council Chief Dennis Adekunle, who received the materials on behalf of the victims, to ensure that the materials were distributed to the intended people.

Akeredolu noted that the safety of life and property and the welfare of the people of the state are his priorities.

The LG boss appreciated the governor for the gesture and the urgent attention given to the matter when it happened.

Adekunle stressed that the gesture shows the governor is a man of his words and has fulfilled the promise he made when he visited the community after the attack.

“This is an indication that our ‘talk and play’ governor means business,” Adekunle said.

Some of the support materials distributed include: food, mattresses, diapers, mosquito nets among others

Recall that at least three people were reportedly shot dead by gunmen who entered the community on January 6th. NAN
