As part of efforts to contain the scourge of malaria in Ondo state, the government has announced that it will distribute no fewer than 3.3 million insecticide-treated mosquito nets to residents of the state.
According to the government, the distribution of the networks will extend over the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
This was announced by the State Secretary of the State Ministry of Health, Ms. Folukemi Aladenola, at a media briefing on the campaign for nets treated with insecticides in Akure on Tuesday.
She said the elimination of malaria requires the input of everyone involved, hence the need for media exposure.
“The last time this exercise was conducted in the state was 2017.
“The campaign will be officially announced by the state government on December 8th and distribution will begin on December 9th,” she said.
