Noida: Residents of Civitech Sampriti, a skyscraper in Sector 77, Noida, would shortly be released from a mosquito breeding site as the Noida authorities found a solution to the problem.
A drain was built to channel the water that was flooded in the open area outside the Society’s boundary wall. It also caused tremendous inconvenience and unsanitary conditions for residents.
According to an official from the agency, development work on the site has already been completed. They would now be covered with cemented sheets.
The agency also plans to rotate the space as a green belt, as it was originally marked for it. Officials said they will be planting seedlings and free grasses in open space.
One of them said, “Construction is complete and now the beautification and plantation work is being done on the property.”
Before that, residents constantly complained about the unsanitary conditions in the open spaces. It was a breeding ground for mosquitoes and also caused health problems.
Now the authority has removed weeds and grasses to plant seedlings and plantations.
